A Day To Remember - Live Sweden 2011 - You Should Have Killed Me When You Had The Chance
I love you Dennis 💗
What an absolutely beautiful song. Sung by an angel 😇❤😢xx
Is this from “The Midnight Special”? No offense… …but if you watch the whole program… …you would see that Dennis was drunk as a skunk. And looks from Carl and Mike were not so appreciative. However: You cannot tell or see this from this one song.
Not most of it self inflicted, and abusive father, mother did nothing, mike love didnt help,he hit his head on a boat, but it could be a diver pulled him down,by eye witnesses at the time.
If this band came along today Dennis would likely be a brand on his own - he'd be multi-marketed in the endless avenues for other content that exist now. He'd probably be ubiquitous..................social media platforms, film, print (what remains of it), fashion, music (of course) ........you name it & he'd likely be right there with it
Love Dennis Singing Carls Song Love His Voice
Dennis looks wasted here, so sad to see him looking like this at only 34. Such a talented, soulful man with such a sad end just 3 years later.
Robertbrown7408 he was 35
This is just so so sad. I cry everytime becsuse Denny is lost. I feel he was forsaken by evetyone who loved him. Including Audree!
😢
Great👍👍👍
best song ive herd in a long wile.. a buried treasure here..a bit older then I am...
Incredible, amazing to see this, hard to believe it is a live performance, some if it sounds exactly like the studio version; wonder if it's a mix of live and back up tracks?
Cocaine 👁🗨 eyes
Reminds me of my girlfriend she passed away Feb 6th this year.. I play bass and I'm sure your buddy's looking down on you everyday! Keep your head up brother
This song is one of the most under rated Beach Boys songs of all time. However, The Beach Boys will always be my favorite band no matter what.
Far and away my favorite Beach Boys track. Such a terrific lyric and perfect vocal by Dennis Wilson. Nobody I play it for recognizes it as the Beach Boys. Only the backing vocals make them believe it.
Music by Carl Wilson, lyrics by Geoffrey Cushing Murray.
He's a good lad! 🙂 (All nine are: All heroes, no villains)
Nine? Brian, Dennis, Carl, Mike, Al, Bruce, Blondie, Ricky and...?

Even wasted, Dennis never took a bad photo 'til the final 2 years of his life. What a stud!
love this ua-cam.com/video/AuO8OU2SHRs/v-deo.html 😀😀😀😀😀💞💞💞💞💞💞💓💓💓💗💗💗💗💗💗❤❤❤❤❤💋💋💋💋💋💋💕💕💞💞💞💞
*shockingly* good... he was unbelievable.
💔💔🇧🇷 saudades 😍🙏
I have a tough time with Dennis's deteriorated voice at this point. In this case, however, it expresses the torture in the lyrics.
This is made even greater when you consider that this is a song that Carl Wilson wrote for his ex-wife. The fact that Carl trusted Dennis to sing a song that came from his heart is beautiful. And it's not the only time in the Beach Boys. God Only Knows was written by Brian and sung by Carl, and Brian made a cover with his daughter Carnie, of Dennis' "You are so beautiful". This song along with these two examples are like a holy trinity of their brotherly love <3
Also, a few years ago Brian recorded Carl's song "Heaven." He never released it, but there's a version of the song with Brian singing it here on UA-cam. I believe Brian had it in his solo set for a while too.
Carl also sang Dennis's songs "Only With You" and "Steamboat." And although it was never released, Carl sang Dennis's song called "Fourth of July."
@@1401minstreldon’t forget SAN MIGUEL!
But Carls Angel never came home..Luckily magic strikes twice and thank goodness for Gina.
Awesome!!!! 💯🎶🎵
Man I wish I was grew up in 60-70s!
Such a heartbreaking and heartbroken personality. And such a beautiful, crying voice.
Who's drumming?
Great song
Pass another dube around. Lol
Wonder how much Mike hated seeing Dennis up front taking the lead...
Idk Mike Love has some of the sickest dance moves
As damaged as his voice may have been at this point, its raspiness worked really well for this song. Brought the emotion of the lyrics to life
Props to Carl for recognizing that and asking Dennis to sing it.
Yes i agree, it makes the lyrics so much more poignant. Dennis is so underrated.
Rip Dennis you are truly missed
Dennis, the shooting star of emotion of all the Wilson children. Brian was the leader, Carl the peacemaker. But Dennis? Dennis was the gut.
9 years later and I bet he’s still so damn grateful to have had a bud like you, hope you’re doin well
Is this about Christine McVie?
no --- Carl Wilson got divorced and was the basis behind the song
More than one take
Tunning??
Standard
just a really good song
Dennis love you Forever
This is so cool to see. Watching this December 2020
And in june 2024! Greetings from the Netherlands!! Love the BB!!!
God I love the Beach Boys...especially Brian. But sometimes I actually think this this the all time most beautiful Beach Boys song. Dennis RIP :(
Drop D Tuning ?
Denny had so much hidden, untapped talent it's a damn shame he couldn't give up his deadly vices I totally know the feeling as I'm battling them myself .loved Denny so full of life would've loved to have met him
Me tóo
I met him. We had a gas! ❤
Dennis was the best. Listen to Pacific Ocean Blue. An amazing album
Man, fuck all these guys. Dennis looks like hell. "Such stage presence" Ive seen better acts at Karaoke.
wish i could find a live version of "love surrounds me" from that same album
What a performance!
I didn't JHC had a pop career
It sounds like Jeffrey Foskett at 0:08
That's Carl. This was a Midnight Special broadcast in 1979. Jeff didn't join the band until 1981, when Carl left briefly.
